Possibly the most challenging / enjoyable afternoon i've had shooting doves!!
Sat under a persimmon tree just me the boy, and a good dog.
Between making sure my son had his ear pro on, and had enough snacks, more than a handful of doves got by.
Lost a boot, ditched the pants, an was covered n blood and cow crap by the end of it.
He loved it.. Even helped me clean them once we got home.

My boy cleaned up a family cemetery last Sunday. Spent about 2 hours clipping, pulling, sweeping and removing branches from this small cemetery.

Shot him early and Watched him fall. Got to go home and get the kids and let them help recover him. They loved every second!! Involving them has made me enjoy the outdoors even more

Some climbing at Rock Town. My boy loves the rocks. Some times I hold my breath and pray. If you've climbed out here you will know this hole. Maybe 25 feet mostly vertical good number of grabs and jams. But I was ready to try to catch him. Balancing living life with setting limits is tough.

This is certainly a timeline thread! My kids are not kids anymore and I miss it so much!

One of our natural blinds on our land - a bunker type blind.



This lake was drained, the dam rebuilt, and has been refilling with rains. Just checking out the "new lake" from a felled tree.

Not outdoors as far as hunting or fishing but two my grandkids checking animals over the last couple days.

Seemed like an eternity, I’ve taken him off and on when he wanted to come, never forced him to come even though I wanted him to be with me. He’s showing more interest in it this year and was rewarded with his first deer this morning! 4 does stepped out and he dumped this big nanny! 139 lbs
