Quail recruitment

Got a pair nesting in my front yard right now. And probably a pair in the fencerow down from the house. Rooster Bobs are whistling good around here.

I sure do miss that whistling! Quail are mostly gone from here in the west-central part of the state.

Whistling all around like crazy now; almost hard to avoid them after the coveys have split up, which has them so dispersed. My lab came up on a nest this afternoon; no eggs in it yet.
Nothing like the whistle of Gentleman Bob through the Georgia pines.

We still have quail around. Seem to see singletons now. Hope they mate up and make 2-3 coveys. Thanks for responses.
I miss the old days of following the dogs while we rode in the truck.
