As soon as the rain let up I grabbed the boom stick and headed back to the blind , on the way down the hill a car went down the dirt road that runs along my property and I heard a gobble about 150 yards away, I ran to the blind and as quick as I could I stuck the decoys out , . Once I got settled in the blind I was a nervous wreck , I hit the slate and boom I herd 2 gobbles together at maybe 75 yards !!! I put the call down and got the gun up and waited , It seemed like an hour but it was prob only a few minutes and 2 gobblers walked out into the food plot and headed right for the spread, the lead tom was the biggest so I ignored the other one and lined up the bead on ole big boy Boom!!dropped him at 22 yards. 11.25 in beard . 1 “ spurs . This is my second bird on my own property and the first long beard , I popped a jake last spring to break the ice on my land.
