We kept it pretty simple but Hot Roast Chicken Sandwiches with the Mrs' Filling and she made her beanless Hot Dog Chili today.
The 2nd one I didn't mess around..
Did a spin on NOLA style BBQ shrimp. Sautéed some onion, garlic, shrimp shells and creole seasoning. Then added w’shire, white wine, water, bay leaves, and lemon. Boiled that down, strained and then boiled down to a syrup. Finished it off with heavy cream. Served that with sautéed shrimp and garlic-parm mashed taters.
My Mom picked up some of those giant persimmons at the grocery store. Passed them off to me. Wasn’t sure what to do with them, ended up making a persimmon bread pudding. Flavored with vanilla, allspice, nutmeg and orange bitters. Wasn’t bad.
