Whether you're after panfish or trout, foam spiders are a top choice for warm-weather fly fishing everywhere! This week on The Tying Bench, we'll learn to tie foam spiders for panfish as well as for trout!

Materials:
Hook: Dry fly hook, size 8 or 10 or 12, regular or 1XL
Thread: 3/0. You want strong thread! Most any color will work!
Body: 2mm or 3mm sheet of craft foam, your choice of color. Favorites are black, orange, yellow, tan or green!
Legs: Stranded silicone or elastic leg material, your choice of color! Favorites are white or black ... or whatever's handy!
Sight Spot: Brightly colored yarn in yellow, orange, or another easy-to-see color
