Mayor of Spring Hill
The top end of the big ditch. It’s about 20 feet to the bottom and has steep sides. Doesn’t look bad in pics but it is.
The thick pines that the deer like to bed in.
Some buck this year was serious about his rubs! He wore two cedars out!
The little waterfall on the back of Spring Hill. Just a trickle right now.
And the reason this area of Monroe county was once called Spring Hill. These little springs produce even in the driest summers.
The remains of some ancient stand. Wish it could tell me some stories!
This ought to come in handy later in the winter.
And finally a big rock that I’ll be dragging out of the woods for Mrs. Wendy’s garden. It’s about 3 feet long.
