Swamp spring

I hunt down in the swamp a handful of times a year, but I've never seen this. I think it just popped up. This is a slew about 1/2-3/4 mile from the river bed back in the woods. It bubbles straight up from the ground into the edge of the slew, and is bringing up sand and depositing it. The water is crystal clear and running pretty good. It's sandy down at the river, but not back in the woods. Now this place was 4-5 feet under water from the 2 hurricanes that went thru, and the river is still up along with the slews full. Y'all see this much in the swamps.

I see one on occasion in these swamps down here. Old folks called em a "freshet" spring. You normally see one like that after a period of heavy rain.

I have seen them several times in MS. They are not fun when they are in a yard and you try to cut the grass.
