Thanks y'all.
When i started writing up that second hunt it was only intended to be a pretty quick retelling. Once i started writing it was seriously like reliving the hunt over again. I could feel all the same emotions, the excitement and nerves, that i felt when it actually happened and i got a little carried away. It was a long read but hopefully an enjoyable one.
November 6th was definitely my most memorable hunt and the one i'm most proud of, other than maybe the first deer i shot hunting solo. You can't often count on mature deer to do exactly what you want them to do but this one did.
