Tagging members?

Is there a way to tag members when posting a reply to a thread? This would be so helpful b/c you would know when someone has asked a question specific to you in their response. Instagram and Facebook have this feature, so you always receive a notification if someone mentioned you in a comment.
The way things are set up on this forum, I would think many questions go unanswered simply b/c the person who was asked simply was never aware they had been asked.
