Report: Two UF football players arrested for pot in January

Florida football players Chris Martin and Kedric Johnson were charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana under 20 grams in separate January incidents, according to a report by The Palm Beach Post.
The Gainesville Police Department reportedly arrested Johnson on Jan. 9 and Martin on Jan. 29, both for possessing approximately two grams of marijuana each. The report says the players agreed to deferred prosecution, which means their cases did not go to trial.
Martin, 19, is a redshirt freshman who transferred to UF from California and sat out last season. He was a five-star recruit as a senior at Aurora, Colo., Grandview High School. Martin played with the second-team defense at linebacker and defensive end during UF's spring football game in April.
Johnson, 20, is a redshirt sophomore and a reserve linebacker from Palmetto, Fla. who played in 12 games for the Gators in 2010 and had four tackles.
