I broke in the Blackstone this evening. Crab cakes/patties with hushpuppies and fried potatoes with ranch seasoning

GA1dad, I knew it wouldn't be long before that Blackstone turned out something good.

Thanks, boss.

I think I enjoy the way they smoke up the neighborhood about as much as I enjoy the actual burgers.

These were cooked on the back deck. I went out front to the mailbox at one point during the cook and you could tell it was game on in someone's backyard.

Thank you. Fun stuff to cook.

When I'm cooking for myself, I tend to just lightly season some ground beef with basics: salt, pepper, onion & garlic powders. The family likes them hopped up with onions & jalapeños, Lipton's & Hidden Valley, too.

That meal looks delicious.

I can't remember the last time I had crab cakes.

Mom used to make them and we devoured them. I'll have to call her and find out what she used. She also did a version with salmon, too.

Was over at some friend's house recently and they served mushrooms that had that ranch seasoning on them....was a first for me. I'm betting it was great on your potatoes, too.

I think you'll really get some great use from that Blackstone.

Thanks, man.

He's gonna rock that Blackstone on many future cooks just like he did on this one.
