When in Austin...

I don't much care for this city in Texas, but it does have some good food...

I was on a 6 hour call today so ate lunch with my headphones on in my hotel...this was a pulled smoked chicken sandwich with bacon, avocado and some kind of chipotle mayo...it was tasty...


Tonight, our meeting is at a colleague's house with catered Franklin BBQ. I've modeled all my brisket cooking after Aaron Franklin so I'm looking forward to this dinner...those pics coming...

I forgot to get pics of the brisket last night! We had brisket, turkey, sausage, bacon wrapped dates, and pulled pork...

The brisket from Franklin's was great...

Texas barbecue is really good. Oldest daughter got married in Texas and we had brisket at the reception. It was good, might even be as good as mine.
