Youth rifle season

My county rifle season came in today but it is buck only for two days and then either sex. When I look at hunting regulations I read them to say that youth follow different rules and they can still shoot either sex am I correct?

Wayne county? I swear I remember discussing with dnr back when they brought back buck only seasons in December that you could hunt does with archery/primitive weapons the buck only applies to people 16 older with a rifle. If you pull up hunting regulations it shows primitive weapons and youth goes same days of full hunting seasons I don't think they stop when season rifle season. Way I read things youth rifle just starts a week early then adult rifle season.

Antlered buck opening weekend applies to the kids as well....

Only way you can go shoot an antlerless deer on private property outside of either sex days in gun season is with archery equipment. Regardless of age. Your child cannot go shoot a doe this weekend unless it's with a bow.
