Frist the Queen, now this.

I used to love getting a Chubby Decker there (and on PDL and the one on Moreland) back when I was an Atlanta Firefighter. Chase it with a brown crown. Had one in Decatur too.

There are three left.

On a side note, I always thought the name was "Zesto's" not "Zesto".

Zesto Atlanta – Ice Cream, Burgers, Chili Dogs & More!

t is with heavy hearts that we announce that our longstanding Zesto Drive-In restaurant at 2469 Piedmont Road in Buckhead will be closing Sunday, September 18, 2022. This neighborhood landmark began by selling only ice cream in 1952. The original walk-up stand at the corner of Piedmont and Lindbergh later added burgers, chili dogs and fries, and was remodeled complete with curb service. It was remodeled again in the early 60s. It was relocated to its present home in 1971. It too has gone through a few incarnations, and has been featured in numerous tv shows, music videos and movies.

Although this property has been sold, our two other Zesto corporate locations in metro Atlanta remain alive and well, where customers will find the same ice cream treats, Chubby Deckers, "Footlong" Chili dogs and the unique Zesto Atlanta experience.

Your patronage, and our loyal employees and family members have kept Zesto going since my Dad brought Zesto to Atlanta in 1949! We raise a swirl cone to you all.

We look forward to celebrating our 75th anniversary in Atlanta in 2024.

Thank you,
Jimbo Livaditis
President

...just joking, seriously.
Buckhead is nothing like it used to be.
Aside from the old money residences, it has been took over.

Loved it growing up. Went to the one at Lindbergh regularly. I stumbled on one in forest park a few years ago and it wasn't good at all. That property on Piedmont must be worth a fortune

When I worked at Century Center we used to go to Zesto's for the foot long chili dog and the onion rings. Man was that good!

I saw the yesterday. It really sucks. My first townhome was in Midtown near Piedmont Park and the PDL one was in my rotation regularly...still one of the best burgers and shakes around...

I was doing some work at Emory and there was 2 places I ate the whole time there, Zesto Little 5 Points, and a hot dog place that just off campus that the co-eds liked.

ESPECIALLY Lennox Mall.

I've never been to Buckeye or the Lenox Square Mall so I googled the mall and this is what they said:

"Upscale complex featuring high-end department stores, specialty boutiques & a range of eateries."

Is this accurate or is there more to it, since metal detectors were mentioned?

I ate at the one at Moreland and Confederate for years. Steak burger basket extra mayo, chubby decker, footlong chili slaw dawg with rangs, fried chicken...it was all good.

Stopped off at the one in FP last year on the way to the gun show and they wanted 11 bucks for a chili dawg with fries and root beer. I walked out and haven't been to one since.

It's very accurate as far as VERY high end shopping... just gotta fight your way in and out.

Posting the pics I've seen of the way people dress there would get someone kicked off this forum. Just sayin...

Never ate there. Usually went to Cool Corner or Felinis. Loved Lennox growing up. It turned ghetto a long time ago.

I turned a lot of my fellow fire fighters on to Cool Corner. You would be surprised how many grown folks have never had a Cuban sandwich.

We would take Engine 16 all the way from Simpson Road (a mile west of the Georgia Dome) to get Cubanos.

I have actually been on a "person shot" call at Lenox Square. Back in 1998.
