This camping area looks to be about halfway in either way...I'd for sure do the uphill hike on fresh legs going in.
Yeah.. never walk down going in, that 300 dollar 2lb. tent weighs 200 pounds going back up and doesn't look "too" bad at all laying on the side of the trail.
Once saw a discarded pillow - big, full bedroom pillow, nothing that ever should have been on a hike - tossed by the side of a trail on some switchbacks above a campsite. This was mile 12ish, +3000ish from low starting point, 2.5ish/1500 from high.
I still wonder what this anti-hiking, anti-mountains, anti-everything temper tantrum must have looked like.
Yep. We didn't send for an axe and mule and seven buckets, though.Speaking of honeybee's, seems I did read something about a bee tree up through there somewhere.
