We moved about 40 yards after my last post. I realized we were more in the maples and gums than the oaks. Got a new phone and lost a lot of my pins on hunt stand.

Up a hickory on some Cherokee county public in a hardwood pocket surrounded by pines with a creek down below. Got in a little late (still dark) and as soon as I sit down I hear some walking and can see bodies but too dark to tell what it is. I’ve been listening to turkeys for 30 or so minutes and 2 were roosted about 40 yards from me.
Probably won’t be too picky if it come within 30 yards this morning but it is a long walk to the truck.
