Taking my son to my lease this morning. He will be on the biggest food plot, and I haven’t decided if I’m gonna sit on a food plot or ladder stand in pines. Leaning towards the food plot because my legs are very sore from the long drag on Friday and the food plot is a short, easy walk. Will update after daylight.

Well I spoke too soon. Must be nice for the weather man to be wrong and keep his job. It’s not raining.

I decided to hunt the ladder. Dropped my son off for him to walk into his spot then drove to hunt the food plot blind I was planning on. When I got to the blind I decided to walk another 300 yards to this ladder. I’ve yet to sit it. I think I have a better chance of seeing a bobcat or coyote here as I seriously doubt I will see a buck worthy of my 2nd tag. I left truck with only my gun, binos, and orange.

My son says he has 5 rabbits in the plot that he can see right now.

Heard one shot way off while typing this.

Woke up to rain on the last day of buck firearm season, going to head out later with my wife. Still have archery, BP, antlerless and mountain heritage season, definitely some crazy weather extremes this year.

Rain is all South of me now. Snuck down to a box blind 300 yds from the house. Wind is erratic,but mainly in my favor. Saw some bucks pushing does here Wednesday & all had Black hocks. Maybe I’ll catch a big one slipping this morning.! Can’t kill one in the bed..

Moved about 40 yards from where I was yesterday. Wrong move as I had one walk between me and where I was yesterday and get my wind. It’s hot this morning but the deer are moving.
