Waited for the rain the slack and I’m live in Heard. Seriously doubt I’ll see a thing, but have had some bucks pick back up on camera searching for does again. Warm 62 and drizzly. Going to give it a few hours and head to church.

Final sit on this place in East Hall. Surveyors coming in tomorrow. Hope to stick something with the Switchback XT before I climb down and pull my ladder stand and camera.

A lone doe is feeding in front of my son. He said he can hear a deer blowing upwind of him barely.

One unidentified big body deer skirted me to my right. And a lone hen came running straight down my trail on a line to me. Atleast I ain’t skunked

Back in Gilmer County it was supposed to rain until 8:00 so laid in the bed until 6:00. Got up and seen the rain had already moved out so jumped in the truck and drove here like a mad man ran to my stand, well let's face it I walked briskly I don't run anywhere any more to old and to fat. anyway saw one in the food plot as I walked by so hopefully they will be moving and I can catch them going back to bed and all bets or off if it's legal I'm slinging an arrow. Couple yearlings out in front chowing down on acorns.

Just had a doe slip in. She came in so quiet I didnt have a chance to stand and grab the bow. Wind is swirling, but she didn’t make me, so I’ll take that as a good sign.

Had a doe and 4point come in down wind I think she caught wind of me because she stopped kept sticking her nose in the air then turned and walked in the other direction and the little 4 point didn't have a clue he was just following her.

Gun shot - that back deck deer sounded hit
Heard some grunting a ridge over and the woods blew up with deer. Little 4 point was running a yearling. Poor thing had her mouth wide open trying to catch a breath. 4-5 other does trying to get out of the way.

I’m tempted to go get in my blind. I know it’s 60*, but the moisture in the air and strong wind is letting me know I’m under dressed.
Don’t know if it was the same yearling getting chased, but one is walking back and forth on the ridge sounding like a live can call.

Nothing since the blowing deer earlier. I did slip down to a different spot to see if anything is happening over this way.
