3rd year in a row

Just wanted to share a quick message about being lucky. This morning I shot a banded wood duck for the 3rd year in a row. This one was banded in August near Shepody, New Brunswick, Canada. What are the odds of that? I probably pick up 30-40 a season.

That's cool. Good shooting and eating. Do you call the band number in? It is interesting to find out where they were banded.

Yes. I’m always interested to see where they were banded. The first one I shot 2 years ago only had to fly from McDonough, Ga. Last year’s banded bird came from North Carolina.

That is amazing! I've only taken 5 banded birds in over 30 years. If it happens again next year you need to buy some lottery tickets right after you get out of the water.
Congratulations!!
