Altamaha fishing camping trip

I’m wanting to do a fishing camping trip down the altamaha but all I have is a old pontoon boat I use for catfishing I don’t mind beating the boat up a little I’m just unfamiliar with the Altamaha (usually on the coosa) is there a stretch that would be more suitable for a pontoon boat ? Didn’t know if I should focus on the lower river or what any advice would be appreciated
