Hunting the altamaha by boat

Has anyone hunted the WMA’s that surround the altamaha for pigs by boat ? I’m thinking about doing this just looking for some advice the only boat I have is a old pontoon boat, I dont mind beating it up a little or dinging it up I use it to catfish on the Coosa up where I live my main question is can I navigate the altamaha in a pontoon boat ? Do I need to stick to the lower section of the river any advice would be appreciated

The mouth of the Altamaha has the most hogs I’ve ever hunted !!! I would not go east of 17 in a party barge …. But when we hunted it I’d see fellas on high tide “ floating “ the creeks with a step ladder in a skiff wearing em out !!
