Something happened. Why fire coach if player did it? This will grow for sure, should be interesting. Get used to it!

One theory is use it to fire a coach not meeting expectations "for cause" and not pay the balance of his contract. Dude was ~20 - 30 games over 500 for his tenure and 30-15 on the season. But never his conference record was not what Bama has produced in the past.

If he had nothing to do with it, he has a case against the school. Of course at this point we have no details. They'll come. I suspect this guy had something to do with it.

Said on TV earlier coach was betting on games. Bama has had a rough time as of late with trouble. Coaches, the deputy atheistic director and some athletes, have all gotten in trouble.

What was his salary? Greed is a bad thing!
I don’t know, just heard about this on Finebuam not long ago. Whoever the guy Paul was talking to said it was the coach betting. Had to be for them to fire him. Throwback will have all the latest details later. :bounce:

Allegedly how it was found according to OUTKICK as reported by ESPN

"Alabama fired baseball coach Brad Bohannon on Thursday amid what might end up being the wildest investigations in college baseball history. This all started with one state halting all betting on Alabama baseball, but has now turned into a circus.

It’s bad enough to get fired from your job for betting, but to be caught on surveillance footage is a whole new ballgame. This is how it went down for Bohannon, according to a new report from ESPN. The outlet is reporting that sportsbook surveillance video shows the person who was placing the bets in Cincinnati was in direct communication with Brad Bohannon.

How they arrived to that point is most likely cell phone records that pinged back to Bohannon in Baton Rouge. But, the simple fact that he was caught red-handed betting on a game involving his team is mind blowing."

Heard that he was the only one that bet on the Bama/LSU baseball game and it was 10k. Threw up a huge red flag and they reported him because no one had ever bet that amount on a SEC baseball game. Apparently there are businesses whose only duty is to track these odd bets and report them. Said his salary was 275k per year and last year he got an additional 225k for accomplished incentives. Pretty good work if you can get it.

I’d be willing to bet this goes on everywhere. Probably some big name coaches doing this as well. Nothing would surprise me in this day and age of sports.
