Carpenter Bees

Motor oil / diesel stain on my barn and they are gone. I use the traps as well. I try to stain once a year and they don’t like that.

cheap carb cleaner spray with the little red tube attached works instantly, . wait till they go in the hole then spray.

I have a trap (they really work!) and tennis racquet. I wear them bees out!

But you know what? I still have as many as I ever had. Maybe I'll see fewer for a day so but then I get reminded that nature is vacuum...it's a losing battle .

Yes, at one point I used to pay my son $.25 for every carpenter bee he swatted.

The day I owed him $23.50 we had a contract term change or I was looking at $25-50/day to eternity.

Oh and on the topic, I had a king Shepard that would match me for every bee I swatted she pulled 2 out of the air and chomped them dead....she was never stung that I could tell.

What a sight that was.

I miss that bee killer.

If the bee traps work so well then why do ya'll still have all these bee problems? If you really want the bees GON; Replace all your facia with MiraTech composite. They won't eat glue.

Paint the traps a bright color and they will work better.
