Caught another critter this morning!

But it was not a coyote...

One of the sets by my buddy's goat pen caught a large feral barn cat...

My friend let the cat go this morning, no worse for wear.

Seeing as how the catch circle reeked of Old Mad Tomcat, I reset the trap and left a bit of deer hair on the original scented clump of grass...The cat was still around, and watching from a distance.

Maybe it'll pay off.

So far no other action...

Old yotes like those cats. If I hunt in a area that has cats around I use kitten in distress and feral cat with good success rate

I'm sure that's right. The first trap I set back in December caught a young bobcat. I could see by the sign that a pack of coyotes came and stretched the bobcat. He was dead when I got there. I did end up catching several coyotes there. I hope it was the ones that murdered Bob.
