Had a work day at our club on Saturday. First time I have been out there since Cindy blew through. Our club is directly across Richard Petty Blvd. from the AMS, so I was really concerned about what I was going to see. Over all, not as bad as it could have been. All of my stands were OK and the camp site was in good shape with only a few branches blown down. I helped open up one road through part of the property and checked on a friends stand, can't say that he faired as well. The stand is located in a bottom along a creek with lots of sweet gums. Don't believe that there was one tree in that bottom that still had a top in it. Even looking toward the stand from the road, you could see there was no canopy left. Man it was a mess. The stand was still there, but didn't look like the area would be huntable. Don't think any deer would be able to work it's way through all of the downed trees.
