Developed what been described as a common problem with this vehicle.

Dealership states 2 remedies on just a verbal exchange. $500 if a fluid change fixes it or $3100 if a converter is required.

Any input or references to local shops around Tallahassee.

Fluid change will NOT fix the issue , Converter will be the problem, but more than likely the converter clutch material has already damaged the pump surfaces, so replacing a converter will be more or less a patch, unless the whole transmission is gone through, I don't think I know of any shops in the Tallahassee area , I'm on a rebuilders forum with a couple guys in Florida, but I'll have to see exactly where they are
