CWD

Hey guys. I moved out to Nebraska in January. I've already locked up a nice lease for the 2018 season - that was priority 1, of course. There's a lot of talk about CWD out here, naturally, since it's rather prevalent in this part of the Midwest. I'd love to hear some thoughts on this piece that I ran across. I posted the link below. I'm thinking that I might have each deer tested before I, or my family, consumes any of the venison this year. I realize that there is no concrete evidence that links this prion disease to any real effect on humans, but it makes me nervous that it's already spread from CWD-infected venison to a species of monkey in a real test. I believe the species was a "macaque" monkey that was used in a test in Canada.

What do y'all think?

I can't remember where I read it, but I think this paraphrase sums it up:

"There is no proof that CWD can spread to humans... Then again, there is no proof that it can't."
