My only question is why not extend the deal to public land as well? Probably has something to do with not having enough human resources to police the additional traffic on WMAs, but I'm not sure. That's what we will be told, I'd guess...

I talked with a game warden the other day and he said too many people small game hunt with dogs or non hunters walking dogs on public. I said they should at least legalize dog proofs, and I will bring that up in the next public meeting.

Looks like it does expand a season to DNR managed lands.

Got it. Only the first part refers to trapping and only on private lands.
