Duluth fire hose pants are tough, I wear them for protection riding my bike. Their too heavy for still hunting IMHO.

Best turkey hunting clothes ever 100%

Still hunting with mine 15+ years and still look great, washed dozens of times. 5:15am and Getting ready to put ‘em on now
Have 2 pair
Those are the ones I am talking about.

Luckily, when they discontinued them, I bought at least a dozen pairs and still wear them in the spring and fall and use them as shorts in the summer.

Best material and comfort that I have ever found in pants. And they never fade or wear out. Probably why they were discontinued, they are too good and last forever.

Yep too good, to build pants of this quality with the rip stop fabric that never fades would probably cost 150.00 in todays market. Also why you will never see another Dixon vest, would cost 500.00+.

Under Armour went the same route, they used to build quality garments, now it’s cheap junk

First Lite corrugate foundry are amazing. Even has removeable kneepads which are a great feature. The Prana Stretch Zion is another great comfortable pant but for warmer weather. There are so many. I'm guilty of sometimes wearing a 20buck pair of mossy oaks from wally world. The blood stains have become part of the camo pattern.
I would hope so. $150 for a pair of britches, they ought to get up and cook your breakfast for you. :)

What on earth are you doing while your hunting that necessitates knee pads?
I had to crawl about 90 yards through freshly thinned to get into position on one this year. I would have loved to of had knee pads after the 3rd or 4th rock I put my weight on. My knees were bruised after that, and I still never got the bird closer than 80 yards.

Kuiu makes some of the best hunting pants I have found.

For years I swore by my Carhart pants, but found myself trying out Kuiu Tiburon (ultra lightweight), Katana (more durable, rugged) and Attack (in the middle) pants. Kuiu blows away my Carharts in breathability, mobility, and durability for the weight.

I’ve also tried Sitka Equinox Guard, Nomad, Wranger Guide Series, Eddie Bauer, Mossy Oak and a plethora of other brands of pants.

You’re going to spend $100-$200 on a “good” pair of pants. These are clothes I’d take on a backpacking trip, Western hunt, camping etc where getting and staying wet, could be a problem.

Again, nothing wrong with BDU’s, Carhart, Wrangler etc.. I still own and use them. That being said, if I want the “best” pants for longevity and use-ability for trips where I’ll be outdoors for multiple days in remote places, I am wearing Kuiu pants with some form of merino base layers.

How do they compare to the old trek-lite material

It's a different material than the trek lite. Softer but still durable. I am on year 3 or 4 on one pair and haven't had a single issue. I have 4 back ups hanging in the closet for when my original ones wear out.

They are that good

I have taken a liking to the TSC Ridgecut britches for hunting and other outdoor activities that require long sleeves on my legs.
