what do yall think about opening up woodduck with early teal season.

duh!! everyone knows that any "early season" birds you have to have tags for

I thought it did open with early teal.

I think it's just fine the way it is.

Most places, if I am not mistaken, only have a few day early season if you can shoot wood ducks. I say negative on the woodies during the early season!

They need to

over in Bama, then maybe not as many Woodies would die for nothing. Over there every fly-by is Teal to some.
They wack'em and stack'em over there,
"leave 'em to rot in the wood's", if it's not a Teal bird!!

I say no to Teal and Woodies, however,

maybe the Fed's ought to open a Woody season along with Teal, maybe even nationwide, but, with a 2 bird limit period.
That should help save some Woodies and maybe help improve the Teal population along the way.

Got to agree with you LR. In Alabama those boys slaughter the woodies on opening day of teal.

i'd be affriad of shooting a woody in a fast fury thinkin its a teal. i know the difference but early season jumpyness+lack of sleep from antipation=a fowl up. punn intended.

i say open it up with the teal.

Little rascal I think the idea about opening up teal and woodies together for an early season is a great idea with the two bird limit total.
