Elberta Peaches in Thomas County

Just picked up and planted a few Elberta peach trees on my farm, in Thomas county. The sales rep told me they would grow here, but I’m skeptical. Due to the amount of chill hours. Does anyone have any experience with growing this variety, this far south? Also, are there varieties better suited for my area?

It would take a cold winter to get the chill hours required for Elberta in Thomas co, you'd be better off with may pride or red baron.
