Finally Getting a Dog

Sooo Excited.. My wife finally let me get a dog. I'm a dog lover and she .. well I think she has fallen for this dog. It is a weim 4.5 yrs old. An older couple had it and can not keep up with the activities that it requires. She knows all of the basic commands. I'm hoping that it is not to late to add on some more. Does anyone have any experience with Wiemeraners? Or do you think it is to late to keep on training? As soon as I let her off the chain she took off with nose to the ground.

Thanks! I'm looking forward to it. It will be good for both of us. She is a little overweight and so am I. We can both get out and run.

I just bought my first dog at Thanksgiving and after about 2 weeks I wondered if I had made a mistake but after some puppy training she is now part of my life (yeah fellas I need a woman I know ).

I now take her out several times a week into the woods.
