Gerber short stack tool for AR15

trial&error

Short answer is No to both.

The front sight adjusting tool makes it easier, but it's not needed. AR is very reliable and easy to work with with basic tools you probably already carry. or a few coins, or the pointy end of one of your rounds.

Some people use all those carbon scraping tools and some don't clean between cases of ammo. either way it needs cleaning at some point and lubrication from time to time nothing fancy.

I do however feel it is important to clean the bcg to remove the heavy grease inside it when new. YMMV

only thing I see on either of them is a front sight tool that would be useful to me. A bullet like t&e said will take it all the way down.

trial&error....are you supposed to clean them between cases? I thought that was why you need the carbon scraper.

An armorers wrench and blocks would be more useful
