Getting a good start! yote time!

Spent 2 days with trappers learning about trapping yotes. I learned a ton! Didn't catch much but I guess that happens when the ground freezes hard over night. I have a lot more to learn still. Mostly I think about scent and bait. When to use bait? When to use scent? When to use both? Got bridger # 1.75 and #2 on the way. Wax, dye, baits, fox urine, sifter, earth anchors, sheep's wool, etc on the way. We learned to do hole sets and blind sets. Glad we got some help. There is no way I could of just started without some guidance. Photos are a hole set at a fence corner. Yotes were holding that fence and tracks were everywhere. The other was a blind set under the gate. Tracks and scat all around. That gate was worn out underneath. Looking forward to trapping my lease. My kids can come help. We Don't have to be real quiet and we can trap on our schedule. Should be good. Wish everyone would trap them.

Looks pretty good. Whack 'em. What did you put in your hole if I may ask?
