I forgot about this one. I don’t take many photos of fish anymore. He was caught on the first day. I only caught about 5 fish on day one.

Those hornet nest makes some good wadding for a smooth bore flintlock. I would take them home with me if I came across them
i am curious how you would go about it. I have heard of bagging the bees at night.

Awesome fish! You're The Man on those big browns.

Large garbage bag and an insecticide bomb. At night slip the bag over the nest then set off the bomb inside of the bag. Wait a few minutes then knock the nest off into the bag. Leave the nest inside the bag for a couple of days before removing.
And yes I have gotten stung before doing this but not often.

It saddens me to see that I catch fewer and fewer rainbows in the Park. It
might just be anecdotal or my techniques but I definitely catch fewer
Rainbows than I used to catch. I never caught big ones up there
but it was common to get a few 11 or 12" fish. Now its just a few smaller
ones.

That's mainly that one creek. It has become a brown factory. In most of the other park streams, I have been catching more big rainbows the last couple years than I have since back in the 80s.
