If you wanna catch whatever, simply use a circle hook, weight, and some cut bait.
Sharks and catfish love it.

I was just west of App last week. The trout bite was strong in shallow grass/sand flats. I would expect similar results around app bay. Early am and late afternoon throwing top water baits. Mid day use live bait...small pinfish was working well. Beaches on the cape slowed considerably but there are still some pompano to be had. Use sand flea fishbites along with fresh dead shrimp and throw out past the sand bar. Plenty of sand fleas can be caught in the surf...if you catch some fleas still use the fishbites. I also caught a couple small flounder in the surf using a jig tipped with gulp bait. Good luck to y’all! BTW...it’s red snapper season so you may want to consider a charter.

You should do well then. Last week we were catching plenty of red snapper mangroves lanes a couple kings Cobia dolphin all within state waters over live bottom and wrecks. Hope your weather cooperates
