How much dry weather can corn handle?

I have a garden on a hillside in full sun with sweet corn planted. It is up about thigh to waist high. Most of it looks nice and green. But some of the leaves are starting to look dry with some browning and withering. The withered leaves are only few and far between, but I am worried it is a sign that I need to do something now.

How long can it go etween rains before I need to start worrying about trying to find a way to water it? If I do have to water, how much watering is require to have a decent effect?

Good question. I'd say another couple of weeks like this and itts' all over, even if you water.

Corn can take a good amount of heat, but the ears will be stunted for sure.

We got a sprinkle last night, but only a sprinkle. It still looked bone dry when I woke up this morning.

Pray for rain!

Got a good rain last night!!! Corn is still doing good and there is the possibility for more rain this weekend.

Need to get some nitrogen out before the next rain.
