In the abscence of much gobbling this year, I decided to set up for a late day hunt over a small deep woods food plot where I have occasionally seen birds during deer season.
With about 30 minutes of light remaining, 10 hens cautiously strolled into the plot about 15 minutes after an aggressive cutting sequence on the box and pot calls.
About 2 minutes later this gobbler poked his head out and went looking for a fight with my breeder hen/jake decoy pair.
My 2nd turkey in as many years off the same property.
