Marlin 30-30 Question

I have my buddies' Marlin 30-30 because I'm trying to help him sell it. I have a co-worker that is interested in it, but I don't want to let the gun go too cheap just to find out later it was worth more. The gun isn't mint, but seems to be in fairly good overall condition. I'd say the condition is 85-90%. I looked online and values ranged from $200-$1500 depending on specific years and models.

It's a Marlin 336 RC 30-30, micro groove barrel, serial # AC75XXX
From what I have found I think the AC means it was produced in 1967?

It also has a vintage fixed power scope: Weaver K4 60-B

So, is anyone knowledgable about Marlins that can give me an idea?
