Did they ban rednecks?
Makes me realize the sad shape we are in

Have you ever been to the Putnam side of Sinclair?
As the country song says. "this must be where rednecks come from"

I think its just been too "airish" for folks to enjoy themselves on the water. ;)

Twenty years ago you would have seen us go by in a jon boat with a trolling motor.
Living the dream. Didn't much care about the cold.

I know the feeling. I can remember deer hunting in the 70s with it drizzling and cold enough for ice to start forming on my rifle. And enjoying it too. Didn't have any of the fancy under armor drawers and insulated coveralls, etc. then neither.

Nowadays if it's under about 35 I pass on going until it warms up.

It's all about what you find fun at the various stages of life, I guess.

I still have and use my jonboat it was new in 1980, my trolling motor is nearly new. It was bought around 1985. There’s also a late seventies Evinrude 15 hp.

Very true. I just wonder where all those young rednecks are. Playing video games I reckon.
Who's gonna fill our shoes.?
