Big7
The Oracle
Oglethorpe County (pics added) Big 7 New, updated thread. Added "Turkey Only" season.
Oglethorpe County. Hunting Club is seeking members to fill a few new spots.
The 704 acre tract is full/closed for this season.
This has changed.. we do have openings. See post #8
The 550 acre tract is what we are concentrating on now.
It is PRIME PROPERTY with GREAT POTENTIAL!
NOT a qdm club. We go by DNR rules... except as noted below.
Deer, Turkey and Hog, plenty of them. All sorts of small game too…
Saw a Turkey Hen on the way in and kicked up a hog the same day
The next week we kicked up a BIG doe.
Plenty of fresh sign (It was raining) Big Deer, Hog and Turkey tracks along with all type small game sign.
550 acres, club stands that need some work and you can put up your own
Or use climber.
Total acreage: 550 ALL IS HUNTABLE.
Has never been leased. Only family has hunted it for years.
Not hunted much, mostly duck guy's and a few stands that need
a little work or removed/replaced.
Family Oriented and Guest Privileges
It has it all… hard woods and mature thinned pines.. You can see through them. Swamp, River, Small Creeks and LONG Power Line... You name it. It's there.
Had a 3 ½ ac. duck pond and the dam burst (due to recent flooding) but the beaver are already working on it. Planted in millet, full head on the millet RIGHT NOW someone knew what they were doing for the duck and turkey.
Also about 2.5 miles of River and creek frontage that is U-shaped around half the property.
This is PRIME LAND and NOT timber Company with a 10 year min. lease.
BRING YOUR MONEY WITH YOU!
I can't stress this enough, we still got to get everyone (that don't want to hunt a club stand) a place to hunt BEFORE rifle season. Check or a Money Order.. and Cash.
