Planning a fishing/paddling/camping trip for N. Ga.

I need some advice on good places in N Ga. where my 15 year old son and I can fish, camp and paddle our kayaks. We have 2 sit-on-top kayaks and would like to find a good N. Ga Lake with nice campgrounds nearby. I've heard that Carter's Lake is nice and Fort Mountain state park.

Unicoi is nice, and the water is so clear you hunt the fish.

Thanks guys. These look like some great suggestions. My family has rented a cabin at Unicoi before and this is a great place - beautiful lake and some decent trout streams.
