Is there any public land near Cherokee county where you can hunt hogs?
There is public land in Cherokee county that you can hunt hogs. Problem is there are no hogs you’ll find in Cherokee co. Best bet is the northern end of Allatoona WMA. Ive had trail cams on the lake side(south) of Allatoona for years. Got a few bears, some deer, hikers, ATVs etc…, but no pigs…..not yet.

McGraw ford is in Northern Cherokee and I’ve been there a few times, but never saw any hog sign.…..been a few years too. Still, may be worth checking out cause at some point, they should show up!

Used to be a few in the upper Stamp Creek area of 'Toona, but not been in there in quite a few years to look. They keep changing the boundaries.

They are all over the stamp creek area. Pine log wma is closed but it’s full of them. Last year I saw a few dozen. You could possibly run into a few in allatoona wma but I wouldn’t count on it.

There are some around Waleska, specifically the Lake Arrowhead community. Pigs are rooting up the golf course there. I don't know if there is any public land nearby.

You can also use a muzzle loader or rimfire for small game and hogs.

Have heard of reports of hogs along the Etowah on the upper part of Allatoona WMA.
Is that in the general Rules for small game? I thought it was archery only only. ….

Many of the archery deer WMAs have archery rules just for deer but there are a couple of areas that are archery only for all hunting.
I was seeing yellow signs the other day that clearly read Archery Only for Deer and Bear……I’ve waisted so much time facepalm:
