I have a Remington Model 1900 double barrel shotgun that I need to figure out a value on it. I've determined by the serial number that it was made in 1906, has the damascus barrels and extractors. However it's missing the forend. Any idea of a good place to have it appraised?

You got a pic?

And by forend, do you mean the wood and the steel or just the wood missing?

It's not uncommon for a break action, especially double barrels, to be missing just the wood because they do crack and get misplaced after it falls off and you have the steel piece that the wood is mounted to.

Hopefully you have the steel piece, otherwise you have a hard roe to hoe.

The lighting isn’t the best but I hope the closeups on the barrels will show the patterns in the steel. It’s missing the whole forend, wood and steel.
