Wilburman, try eBay. I got a clip for my 788 6mm last year for $30. Would have paid much, much more anywhere else. A quick check revealed this:

Also since we are on the topic of the 788. Who makes aftermarket barrels for them? I'm looking to replace my 243 one.

For custom barrels you might try ERShaw. I'm considering them very seriously. Seem to have good prices.

you'd better get that one off ebay! i have the same rifle and lost the magazine also. i looked for months before i found one on ebay. 30-30 must be the most rare caliber in these rifles, because there are plenty of mags for other calibers. i've also seen the guns for sale on other websites and the 30-30s were priced way more than other calibers of model 788 rifles.
