Savannah River Stripers 02/23/21

Went to the river to take a new friend out this morning. Put in at 9:00. He wanted to look for crappie so we spent the morning looking for black slabs with no luck. After lunch we headed down river to try the stripers. I caught these two in short order and then it died. Beautiful day. Water temp 50F.

Nice catch. What was your rig set up and were you near the coast or further up the river?

Caught all fish on a white buck tail jig with a Berkely Gulp 5" curly tail-chartreuse. Brackish, tidal area.
