spraying clover and overseeding

Is now a good time to spray the clover to kill the grass and overseed with more clover seed?

sprays are not effective in cold weather,when the temp is 70 or higher is when they work best, spray the grass in the spring,mow it first after it tops back out spray the grass this spring,dont bother overseeding until next fall,they need to get a strong root system before summer heat,lime and fertilize as needed to keep what youve got going until you can overseed this coming fall

wait until the grasses start actively growing. most grasses are dormant now.

Be sure to buy the right stuff.Post I belive is the brand name,or the generic brand, Hi-yield grass killer.

i would go ahead and over seed lightly now. not the best time but you will get some good from it. put a little chicory in it , about 2 lbs per acre . small burnet would also be good to add at rate of 3 lbs per acre. spray early when grass is young green and growing . will need to spray more than one time, keep the grass knocked back.

yep a couple pounds of the mixed seed are worth the long term possibilities. then look at it again this fall. forgot one thing ,soil test now , and and apply what the test says especially the PH. good luck
