Had to run some errands this afternoon so I went by Publix and got a Italian sub. It waiting on me at home for when I get done hunting this evening. They were a dollar off too so that was a bonus

Had a pack of backstrap out and decided to try letting it sit in some wagyu tallow then searing in the same fat. Turned out pretty good!

1eyefishing

...just joking, seriously.
Roughing it with a bachelor dinner at deer camp. Just a plain old turkey and cheese sandwich with some barbecue sauce.
But feast your eyes on 1eye's Redneck Nachos...
A pan of kettle fried potato chips covered in PepperJack!
Perfik companion to some coke an Bulleitt...

No getting around it, the alpha gal has gotten me a little tired of chicken and some seafood dishes….. absolutely don’t want any more emu any time soon……

Did an Autumn veggie plate tonight. Pretty much everything courtesy of the fine folks at Windy Hill Farms. Mashed sweet taters with cloves and molasses, roasted turnips and carrots, roasted cauliflower with sesame oil, cumin, walnuts, parsely and dried cranberries, and Napa cabbage braised in chicken stock, onion, garlic, soy sauce and molasses.

Boil tonight. Son did all prep work. Cutting sausage and taters.. I cook, he assisted.

got done, ready to serve. Helpful wife asks… did you want to throw the sausage in there? I FORGOT! It was in the bag, sliced and ready… so… took another pot, half filled with boil liquid and added the sausage. Boiled for 15min. Worked out well, as a plan B.

tomorrow, or Tuesday, the juice with portabella mush scallions and some leftover boil shrimp, and maybe the one remaining lobster, with Asian noodles.

and… at some time in the near future, the 2.99, ~15lb brisket will be split in 1/3’s and one section eaten. Surprised to see it on sale. The mrs will appreciate.
