Thought I would check here on GON and see if anybody can tell me about the Molena Ga. Thunder Mountain VPA regulations... in particular I am wondering about Public access on that property when the deer season is closed.... I have this question sent in to a contact info page on GeorgiaWildlife.com but have not heard back from them yet...

I’m assuming you’re referring to Camp Thunder VPA in Upson County?

It’s open Sept-January, State deer season. Archery ONLY. For Deer & Turkey.
I’ve never personally had issues scouting the property in February-May. They DO lock the gates over the summer months- after Turkey season.
Very steep, rugged country. Lower deer density. Hunter success always seems to hover in the 3-4% range when I followed it.
I no longer hunt it, but I don’t anticipate much has changed.
