Did some Spiedie Sauce sandwiches tonight with peppers and onions. Marinated some pork loin the Spiedie Sauce and then grilled. About froze to death in the process. My father-in-law introduced me to this stuff years ago as he would order it by the case. Can be found in most major grocery store chains around here now. Made some home fries for a side and splashed a little more of the sauce on the sandwich.

Saturday night the wife told me she wanted some seafood. Decided to do a version of Ciopinno using some striper filets I had in the freezer, some shrimp, a little crab claw meat and some mussels. Used the shells to make some stock and then coupled that with some tomatoes in the blender to make the broth. Gave it a little twist with some smoked paprika and a pinch of saffron. She approved of the finished product.

Sunday decided go the Cajun route and made some seafood gumbo with a blonde roux and some more striper, shrimp, a little crab meat, and Andouille sausage. Roasted some chicken thighs and also made some chicken-Andouille jambalaya.

It's 8 am and I'm about to make an omelette, but I'd take any of those "dinner" foods right now. Them look good!
